Powered surgical instrument

A surgical system, comprising:

• a motor;
• a motor control circuit configured to control the motor;
• a processing circuit coupled to the motor control circuit;
• and
• a memory coupled to the processing circuit, wherein the memory stores:
• a predetermined threshold associated with a parameter associated with the surgical system, the parameter comprising a value which varies based on operation of the surgical system;
• and
• wherein the processing circuit is configured to:
• monitor, by the processing circuit, the value of the parameter during use of the surgical system in a surgical procedure;
• compare, by the processing circuit, the monitored value of the parameter to the predetermined threshold associated with the parameter to determine when the monitored value exceeds the predetermined threshold;
• interrupt, by the motor control circuit, an operation of the motor when the monitored value of the parameter exceeds the predetermined threshold;
• receive, by the processing circuit, an override input, to override the interruption of the operation of the motor;
• resume, by the motor control circuit, the operation of the motor based on the override input;
• permit, by the motor control circuit subsequent to the resumption of the operation of the motor, the operation of the motor regardless of the monitored value of the parameter continuing to exceed the predetermined threshold;
• and
• monitor, by the processing circuit, the value of the parameter beyond the predetermined threshold.
