Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a paper towel product that will capably separate from the paper towel roll as a full sheet, a half sheet or a quarter sheet. A method of making a paper towel with machine direction perforations is also disclosed.
Claims15
A rolled paper towel product comprising:
- two paper plies;
- a plurality of perforation lines in the cross-machine direction of the paper product;
- at least one perforation line in the machine direction of the paper product;
- wherein the ratio of the tensile strength of the at least one perforation line in the machine direction to the tensile strength of each of the plurality of perforation lines in the cross-machine direction is at least about 1.15;
- wherein the rolled paper towel product has a basis weight of from about 43 g/sq. meter to about 51 g/sq. meter;
- and
- wherein the rolled paper towel product has a SAT absorbent capacity of from about 300 g/sq. meter to about 550 g/sq. meter.
