Abstract
A method performed by a middle node in a communication system includes: receiving a request message for capability information from a controller, transmitting capability information of the middle node as a response to the request message; and receiving timing information corresponding to multiple subcarrier spacings (SCSs) from the controller based on the capability information of the middle node.

A method performed by a middle node in a communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a controller, a request message for capability information;
- transmitting capability information of the middle node in response to the request message, wherein the capability information indicates whether the middle node supports processing uplink data containing multiple subcarrier spacings (SCSs) within a single extended Antenna-carrier ID (eAxC ID);
- and
- receiving, from the controller, timing information based on the capability information of the middle node, wherein the timing information is configured for the multiple SCSs within the single eAxC ID for processing the uplink data.

A middle node in a communication system, the middle node comprising:
- a transceiver;
- a memory;
- and
- at least one processor electrically connected to the transceiver and the memory,
- wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
- receive, from a controller, a request message for capability information;
- transmit capability information of the middle node in response to the request message, wherein the capability information indicates whether the middle node supports processing uplink data containing multiple subcarrier spacings (SCSs) within a single extended Antenna-carrier ID (eAxC ID);
- and
- receive, from the controller, timing information based on the capability information of the middle node, wherein the timing information is configured for the multiple SCSs within the single eAxC ID for processing the uplink data.
