Abstract
A system including a first integrated circuit configured to render image data and transport the image data. Further, the system includes a second integrated circuit configured to receive the image data, determine whether the image data is missing data that was expected to have been received, and generate placeholder data in response to determining that the image data is missing data that was expected to have been received.

A system comprising:
- a first integrated circuit configured to:
- render image data;
- and
- transport the image data;
- and
- a second integrated circuit configured to:
- receive the image data;
- determine whether the image data is missing data;
- and
- generate placeholder data in place of the missing data in response to determining that the image data is missing data, wherein the placeholder data comprises a particular glyph value corresponding to a solid color.

Streaming encoding or decoding circuitry on a first integrated circuit configured to:
- receive compressed image data from a second integrated circuit;
- decompress the image data;
- determine that a portion of the image data was expected to have been received but was not received;
- and
- generate replacement image data corresponding to the portion of the image data, wherein the replacement image data comprises one or more glyphs corresponding to one or more solid colors.

- a first electronic device configured to generate image data;

- a second electronic device configured to:
- receive the image data from the first electronic device;
- update the image data to conceal an error due to missing data from the image data that was received based on generating placeholder data in place of the missing data, wherein the placeholder data comprises a particular glyph value corresponding to a solid color;
- and
- display the updated image data on at least one electronic display.
