Abstract
Examples described herein relate to a network interface device that includes first circuitry to perform a first scrambling operation on input data; second circuitry to perform a second scrambling operation on the input data; and third circuitry to select the second scrambled input data based on the first scrambled input data including a data sequence that is associated with receiver malfunction and the second scrambled input data including the data sequence that is associated with receiver malfunction.
Claims21
An apparatus comprising:
- a network interface device comprising:
- first circuitry to perform a first scrambling operation on input data to generate first scrambled output data;
- second circuitry to perform a second scrambling operation on the input data to generate second scrambled output data, wherein the first scrambling operation and the second scrambling operation apply different scrambling operations;
- and
- third circuitry to select the second scrambled output data based on the first scrambled output data including a data sequence that is associated with receiver malfunction and the second scrambled output data not including the data sequence that is associated with receiver malfunction.
At least one non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions stored thereon, that if executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- configure a network interface device to:
- perform a first scrambling operation on input data to generate first scrambled output data;
- perform a second scrambling operation on the input data to generate second scrambled output data, wherein the first scrambling operation and the second scrambling operation apply different scrambling operations;
- and
- select the second scrambled input data based on the first scrambled output data including a data sequence that is associated with receiver malfunction and the second scrambled output data not including the data sequence that is associated with receiver malfunction.
A method comprising:
- in a network interface device:
- performing a first scrambling operation on input data to generate first scrambled output data;
- performing a second scrambling operation on the input data to generate second scrambled output data, wherein the first scrambling operation and the second scrambling operation apply different scrambling operations;
- and
- selecting the second scrambled input data based on the first scrambled output data including a data sequence that is associated with receiver malfunction and the second scrambled output data not including the data sequence that is associated with receiver malfunction.
