Identity breach notification and remediation

One or more non-transitory computer readable media comprising one or more sequence of instructions, which, when executed by a processor, causes a computing system to perform operations comprising:

• accessing, by the computing system, a social media account of a user;
• identifying, based on accessing the social media account of the user, other social media accounts the user has interacted with;
• determining, and based on identifying the other social media accounts the user has interacted with, that the user is affected by a data breach that includes release of secure or private information to an untrusted environment by a merchant;
• performing one or more remedial actions to protect the user from the data breach.

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• memory having programming instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the system to perform operations comprising:
• identifying a plurality of merchants;
• accessing a social media account of a user;
• identifying, based on accessing the social media account of the user, other social media accounts the user has interacted with;
• determining, based on identifying the other social media accounts the user has interacted with, that the user is affected by a data breach that includes release of secure or private information to an untrusted environment by a merchant;
• performing one or more remedial actions to protect the user from the data breach.
