Abstract
A mover system includes a track, a plurality of movers configured to move along the track, and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to receive a user input indicative of operational parameters for the mover system, determine operating settings for the mover system based on the operational parameters, and cause the plurality of movers to operate in accordance with the operating settings.
Claims20
A mover system comprising:
- a track;
- a plurality of movers configured to move along the track;
- and
- one or more processors configured to:
- receive a user input indicative of one or more operational parameters for the mover system;
- determine a maximum fleet size for the mover system based on the one or more operational parameters, wherein the maximum fleet size corresponds to a first number of movers available for the mover system;
- determine a throughput per mover value, an energy consumption per mover value, or both associated with each fleet size up to the maximum fleet size based on an expected operation of the mover system;
- determine one or more operating settings for the mover system based on the throughput per mover value, the energy consumption per mover value, or both for each fleet size, wherein the one or more operating settings comprise an additional number of movers;
- and
- cause a portion of the plurality of movers to operate in accordance with the one or more operating settings, wherein the portion of the plurality of movers corresponds to the additional number of movers.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- receive a user input indicative of one or more operational parameters for a mover system, wherein the mover system comprises a track and a plurality of movers configured to move along the track, wherein the one or more operational parameters comprise a minimum throughput of the mover system, a maximum throughput of the mover system, a maximum amount of electrical power per unit produced at least partially by the mover system, a maximum cost for electrical power per unit produced at least partially by the mover system, a number of movers of the plurality of movers to be used, or any combination thereof;
- determine a maximum fleet size for the mover system based on the one or more operational parameters, wherein the maximum fleet size corresponds to a first number of movers of the plurality of movers available for the mover system;
- determine a throughput per mover value, an energy consumption per mover value, or both associated with each fleet size up to the maximum fleet size based on an expected operation of the mover system;
- determine one or more operating settings for the mover system based on the throughput per mover value, the energy consumption per mover value, or both for each fleet size, wherein the one or more operating settings comprise an additional number of movers;
- and
- cause a portion of the plurality of movers to operate in accordance with the one or more operating settings, wherein the portion of the plurality of movers corresponds to the additional number of movers.
A controller comprising one or more processors configured to:
- receive a user input indicative of one or more operational parameters for a mover system, wherein the mover system comprises a track and a plurality of movers configured to move along the track, wherein the one or more operational parameters comprise at least two of a minimum throughput of the mover system, a maximum throughput of the mover system, a maximum amount of electrical power per unit produced at least partially by the mover system, a maximum cost for electrical power per unit produced at least partially by the mover system, and a number of movers of the plurality of movers to be used;
- determine a maximum fleet size for the mover system based on the one or more operational parameters wherein the maximum fleet size corresponds to a first number of movers available for the mover system;
- determine a throughput per mover value, an energy consumption per mover value, or both associated with each fleet size up to the maximum fleet size based on an expected operation of the mover system;
- determine one or more operating settings for the mover system based on the throughput per mover value, the energy consumption per mover value, or both for each fleet size, wherein the one or more operating settings comprise an additional number of movers;
- and
- cause a portion of the plurality of movers to operate in accordance with the one or more operating settings, wherein the portion of the plurality of movers corresponds to the additional number of movers.
