Abstract
A lighting device that emits light to a lighting target surface and includes a light source, and a lens having an incident surface that receives light emitted from the light source and an emission surface that emits the light received by the incident surface. The emission surface is a convex curved surface. The curvature of the emission surface along a first direction perpendicular to an optical axis direction of the lens is smaller than the curvature of the emission surface along a second direction perpendicular to the optical axis direction and the first direction.
Claims17
A lighting device that emits light to a lighting target surface, the lighting device comprising:
- a light source;
- and
- a lens including an incident surface that receives light emitted from the light source and an emission surface that emits the light received by the incident surface, wherein
- the lens is a semi-cylindrical body having one convex top surface including the emission surface, one concave bottom surface including the incident surface, and two semicircular end faces,
- an entirety of the incident surface is a curved surface,
- an entirety of the emission surface is a curved surface, and
- when a longitudinal direction of the semi-cylindrical body is defined as a first direction, and a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and to an optical axis direction is defined as a second direction, a curvature of the emission surface along the first direction is smaller than a curvature of the emission surface along the second direction.
A lighting device that emits light to a lighting target surface, the lighting device comprising:
- a light source;
- and
- a lens including an incident surface that receives light emitted from the light source and an emission surface that emits the light received by the incident surface, wherein
- the emission surface is a convex curved surface,
- a curvature of the emission surface along a first direction perpendicular to an optical axis direction of the lens is smaller than a curvature of the emission surface along a second direction perpendicular to the optical axis direction and the first direction,
- the emission surface has a first end and a second end in the second direction,
- the first end has a first curvature along the first direction, and
- the second end has a second curvature along the first direction and different from the first curvature.
