Abstract
An ocean wave and tidal current energy conversion system includes a first vessel and a second vessel, the first vessel being parallel and spaced apart from the second vessel. The first and second vessels include supports that receive cylinders that rotate from ocean waves and currents to create hydraulic oil pressure via hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic oil in the energy conversion system is pumped into a pressure accumulator that removes hydraulic surges and operates an electric generator. The electric generator may power an electrolysis batch system for the production of hydrogen that fills each vessel with hydrogen gas.
Claims19
An energy conversion system comprising:
- a first vessel;
- a second vessel being parallel to and spaced apart from the first vessel;
- a first support positioned at a first end of the first vessel and the second vessel;
- a second support positioned at a second end of the first vessel and the second vessel;
- a turbine comprising a housing, wherein the turbine comprises a plurality of support arms that extend from a lower surface of the housing to a bottom plate, the plurality of support arms surrounds the turbine;
- a first rod and a second rod that interact with a first end of the housing, the first rod and the second rod coupleable to the first support;
- and
- a third rod and a fourth rod that interact with a second end of the housing, the third rod and fourth rod coupleable to the second support.
An energy conversion system comprising:
- a first vessel;
- a second vessel being parallel to and spaced apart from the first vessel;
- a first support;
- a second support;
- a turbine coupled to the first and second supports, the turbine comprising a housing;
- a rotating portion partially positioned in the housing, the rotating portion comprising:
- a controller,
- a first plate,
- a second plate coupled to the controller,
- first rods coupleable to the second plate, wherein the first rods interact with second rods,
- blades coupled to the second rods so as to be adjusted via the controller and second plate, and
- pivot axles passing through the blades that allow the blades to rotate based on current.
An energy conversion system comprising:
- a first vessel;
- a second vessel being parallel to and spaced apart from the first vessel;
- a first support positioned at a first end of the first vessel and the second vessel, the first support comprising:
- a first frame,
- a second frame,
- one or more first brackets that couple the first frame to the second frame,
- a first channel member with a first channel,
- a second channel member with a second channel,
- a first vessel support that rests upon the first vessel, and
- a second vessel support that rests upon the second vessel;
- a second support positioned at a second end of the first vessel and the second vessel;
- a turbine coupled to the first support and the second support, the turbine comprising a housing;
- a rotating portion partially positioned in the housing, the rotating portion comprising:
- a controller,
- a first plate,
- a second plate coupled to the controller,
- first rods coupleable to the second plate, wherein the first rods interact with second rods,
- blades coupled to the second rods so as to be adjusted via the controller and second plate, and
- pivot axles passing through the blades that allow the blades to rotate based on river or ocean current.
