Abstract
The present disclosure various apparatuses, and systems for 3D printing. The present disclosure provides three-dimensional (3D) printing methods, apparatuses, software and systems for a step and repeat energy irradiation process; controlling material characteristics and/or deformation of the 3D object; reducing deformation in a printed 3D object; and planarizing a material bed.
Claims30
A device for planarization of a surface of a material bed, the device comprising:
- an internal compartment having a long axis configured to be disposed perpendicularly, or substantially perpendicularly, with respect to a direction of movement of the device during operation of the device comprising the planarization of the surface of the material bed, the movement being lateral along the surface of the material bed, the internal compartment being (i) coupled through a connector with a source configured to attract material from the material bed to planarize the surface of the material bed and (ii) narrower towards a distant position from the connector;
- and
- a nozzle operatively coupled with the internal compartment, the nozzle being configured to facilitate removal of the material attracted from the material bed to planarize the surface of the material bed, the removal of the material being through the nozzle.
