Portable basketball goal system with removable rebound assembly

A system comprising:

• a portable basketball goal assembly having a pole base, a pole, and at least one angled support, wherein said at least one angled support extends from said pole base to an elevated position on said pole at an inclined angle;
• a rebound assembly having a rebound frame that defines a first central opening, a flexible rebound surface that spans said first central opening, and a base frame that defines a second central opening, wherein said base frame of said rebound assembly selectively connects to, and detached from, said at least one angled support of said portable basketball goal assembly and wherein said second central opening of said rebound frame is as least as large as said first central opening spanned by said flexible rebound surface;
• wherein said base frame and said rebound frame are interconnected at a joint connection that enables said rebound assembly to be manipulated between a flush configuration, where said rebound frame is folded flush against said base frame, and an angled configuration, where said rebound frame is oriented at a selected angle of inclination relative to said base frame;
• and
• wherein when in said flush configuration said base frame does not block any of said first central opening of said rebound frame.
