Abstract
A composition useful for alleviating or treating pain and uses thereof are disclosed. The composition containing glutamate decarboxylase and a gene coding for an anti-inflammatory cytokine. A method for alleviating or treating pain of a subject includes administering the composition to the subject.
Claims13
A method for relieving or treating pain in a subject with pain comprising administering a composition to the subject,
- wherein the composition comprises a vector comprising a gene encoding glutamate decarboxylase (GAD) and a gene encoding interleukin-10 (IL-10), and
- wherein the gene encoding GAD and the gene encoding IL-10 are operably linked to expression control sequences.
