The present invention relates to CXCL8 inhibitors for use in the treatment of COVID-19 patients with pneumonia.
Claims16
A method for treating a patient with COVID-19 viral pneumonia, the method comprising administering a CXCL8 inhibitor to the patient wherein the CXCL8 inhibitor is R-(-)-2-(4-isobutylphenyl) propionyl methansulfonamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
