Outdoor furniture and components thereof

An assembly of furniture comprising at least two chairs and a removeable seat cushion, wherein the chairs are in the form of one or more corner chairs, one or more side chairs, or a combination thereof,

• wherein each of the one or more side chairs comprises a first seat portion and a backrest portion, wherein the first seat portion comprises a top surface and a bottom surface, each comprising one or more openings configured to permit water to drain therethrough, wherein the one or more openings in the top surface is in fluid communication with the one or more openings in the bottom surface, and wherein the backrest portion is at an angle of 90° or greater and less than 180° relative to the top surface of the seat portion,
• wherein each of the one or more corner chairs comprises a second seat portion and two side portions, wherein the second seat portion comprises a slot configured to permit water to drain therethrough, and wherein the side portions intersect with the seat portion at an angle of 90° or greater and less than 180° relative to the top surface of the seat portion, and
• wherein the seat cushion is releasably attached to a plug including a bottom portion that is configured to fit in one of the one or more openings in the top surface of the seat portion and be slidably removable therefrom, and wherein the bottom portion comprises at least one bottom channel configured to facilitate water flow through the one or more openings in the top surface of the seat portion.

A kit for forming a chair comprising:

• (i) a seat module comprising a seat portion, wherein the seat portion comprises a top surface and a bottom surface, each comprising one or more openings configured to permit water to drain therethrough;
• wherein the one or more openings in the top surface is in fluid communication with the one or more openings in the bottom surface;
• (ii) a removable seat cushion, wherein the cushion has a suitable size and shape to fit on top of the seat portion, and wherein the cushion is releasably attached to a plug, wherein the plug comprises a bottom portion, wherein the bottom portion is configured for insertion in one of the one or more openings in the top surface of the seat portion and is slidably removable therefrom, and wherein the bottom portion comprises at least one bottom channel configured to facilitate water flow through the one or more openings in the top surface of the seat portion;
• (iii) a first leg module comprising a first connecting bar and two legs, wherein each leg is attached to an opposite end of the first connecting bar;
• (iv) a second leg module comprising a second connecting bar and a single leg attached to one end of the second connecting bar or two legs, wherein each leg is attached to an opposite end of the second connecting bar, and
• (v) connecting elements configured to secure the first and second leg modules to the seat modules, optionally wherein the connecting elements are selected from the group consisting of attachment bars, connection plates, and fasteners.
