Abstract
The invention provides an antifungal composition comprising an antifungal compound of formula R—S+(R′)2 or R—N+(R′)3 wherein R is C17-C32 straight chain or branched alkyl; and each R′ is independently methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl or butyl; and uses of said composition as antifungal agents.
Claims2
A method of destroying, controlling or suppressing a fungus by contacting the fungus with an antifungal compound of formula R—S+(R′)2 wherein,
- R is octadecyl;
- and
- each R′ is methyl,
- wherein the method comprises a method of plant protection, and wherein the antifungal compound, or composition comprising the antifungal compound, is applied to a plant, plant part or seed of a plant having a fungal infection.

- wherein, R is octadecyl;
- and
- each R′ is methyl, wherein the method comprises treating a human or animal fungal infection.
