Portable cooler

A portable cooler container system for medicines, vaccines, biological samples or other medical goods, comprising:

• a container body having a payload chamber configured to receive one or more medicines, vaccines, biological samples or other medical goods;
• a phase change material within a sleeve of the container body and disposed about a periphery of the payload chamber;
• a thermally conductive member extending within and in thermal communication with the phase change material;
• and
• a temperature control system, comprising:
• a cold side heat sink in thermal communication with at least a portion of the thermally conductive member,
• a hot side heat sink,
• a thermoelectric module interposed between and in thermal communication with the cold side heat sink and hot side heat sink, and
• circuitry configured to control an operation of the thermoelectric module;
• and
• a lid operable to access the payload chamber,
• wherein the thermoelectric module is operable to freeze the phase change material, the frozen phase change material being configured to passively cool the payload chamber.

A portable cooler container system for medicines, vaccines, biological samples or other medical goods, comprising:

• a container body having a payload chamber configured to receive one or more medicines, vaccines, biological samples or other medical goods;
• a phase change material within the container body and disposed about at least a portion of a periphery of the payload chamber;
• a thermally conductive member extending within and in thermal communication with the phase change material;
• and
• a temperature control system, comprising:
• a cold side heat sink in thermal communication with at least a portion of the thermally conductive member,
• a hot side heat sink,
• a thermoelectric module interposed between and in thermal communication with the cold side heat sink and hot side heat sink, and
• circuitry configured to control an operation of the thermoelectric module;
• and
• a lid operable to access the payload chamber,
• wherein the thermoelectric module is operable to freeze the phase change material, the frozen phase change material being configured to passively cool the payload chamber.
