Abstract
A precast dam structure may include at least two precast segments coupled together via linkages and a flow path structure. The flow path structure defines a flow path having an intake port and a draft port and is associated with at least one of the at least two precast segments. The flow path structure is configured to provide a change in flow direction, either internally or externally, from the at least one of the at least two precast segments.
Claims21
A power generation module, comprising:
- a precast segment;
- and
- a power generator configured to be coupled to the precast segment,
- wherein the precast segment is configured to accept coupling with the power generator in advance of the precast segment being disposed within a flowpath with a fluid flow,
- wherein the precast segment and the power generator in a coupled arrangement with the precast segment are configured to be oriented in the flowpath to accept the fluid flow to cause the power generator to convert the fluid flow into electrical power;
- and wherein the precast segment comprises a base, and the precast segment defines an intake port and a draft port, the intake port and the draft port defining a flow path, the flow path being oriented parallel with the base.

A power generation module, comprising:
- a first precast segment, including a first coupling feature or element;
- a first power generator configured to be coupled to the first precast segment;
- a second precast segment, including a second coupling feature or element;
- and
- a second power generator configured to be coupled to the second precast segment;
- wherein the first precast segment and the second precast segment are configured to be coupled via the first and second coupling features or elements,
- wherein the first precast segment and the first power generator are configured to be oriented to accept fluid flow to cause the first power generator to convert the fluid flow into electrical power, and the second precast segment and the second power generator are configured to be oriented to accept fluid flow to cause the second power generator to convert the fluid flow into electrical power,
- wherein the first precast segment is configured to accept coupling with the first power generator in advance of the precast segment being disposed within a flowpath with a fluid flow, and the second precast segment is configured to accept coupling with the second power generator in advance of the precast segment being disposed within the flowpath with the fluid flow;
- and,
- wherein the first precast segment and the second precast segment each comprises a base, and the first precast segment and the second precast segment defines an intake port and a draft port, the intake port and the draft port defining a flow path, the flow path being oriented parallel with the base.
