A control method for a washing machine comprising:

• during a washing process or a rinsing process, alternately performing:
• a circulating filtration operation comprising:
• operating a pump assembly in an open state to pump water from a water container through a circulating filtration pipeline to a first water inlet of a filtering device, controlling a control valve assembly to connect the pump assembly with the first water inlet and to disconnect a first sewage outlet from a sewage pipeline, and circulating water from the filtering device back to the water container through a filtered water outlet;
• and
• a sewage discharge operation comprising:
• stopping the pump assembly in a closed state, controlling the control valve assembly to disconnect the pump assembly from the first water inlet and to connect the first sewage outlet to the sewage pipeline, and discharging sewage in the filtering device into the sewage pipeline via the first sewage outlet;
• wherein, the washing machine comprises:
• the water container;
• the circulating filtration pipeline, with a water inlet end and a water outlet end of the circulating filtration pipeline being connected to the water container respectively, and the pump assembly being installed thereon;
• the filtering device, being configured to install on the circulating filtration pipeline and to have the first water inlet, the filtered water outlet and the first sewage outlet;
• the sewage pipeline, being configured to receive sewage discharged from the first sewage outlet;
• and
• the control valve assembly.
