Abstract
A surface covering is provided and generally includes a laminated panel, an ultra-violet (UV) and a second coating. The curable surface coating is applied to the laminated panel and includes a first coating. The second coating includes a composition distinctive of the first coating and is cured at a lower energy than the second coating. The second coating is cured at a higher energy to cure both the first coating and the second coating.
Claims20
A surface covering, comprising:
- a laminated panel;
- an ultra-violet (UV) curable surface multi-part coating applied to the laminated panel having:
- a first coating with a first composition;
- and
- a second coating with a second composition distinctive of the first composition of the first coating, the first coating cured in stages, in which the first coating is semi-cured at a first and lower energy, prior to application of the second coating,
- the second coating applied onto the semi-cured first coating;
- the UV curable surface multi-part coating finally cured at a second and higher energy sufficient to fully cure both the first coating and the second coating.
