Abstract
The present invention relates to highly pure high performance polycrystalline diamond monolith, a method for manufacturing a single-crystal diamond, and uses thereof.
Claims13
A method for preparing a polycrystalline diamond monolith containing more than 98% diamond, the method comprising a sintering step of high pressure spark plasma sintering (HP-SPS) a diamond powder at 1400-1600° C. under a pressure of 3-5 GPa, an electric current flowing through the diamond powder in the absence of any additives, wherein the size of the diamond powder particles ranges from 10 nm to 100 μm.
