Robotic towing device

A versatile robotic towing chassis comprising:

• a chassis;
• a set of wheels coupled to the chassis;
• one or more motors;
• one or more processors;
• one or more autonomously adjustable arms coupled to the versatile robotic towing chassis;
• one or more autonomously lifting components coupled to the versatile robotic towing chassis;
• a casing coupled to the versatile robotic towing chassis;
• a plurality of sensors;
• a battery;
• and
• a tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable medium storing instructions that when executed by the processor effectuates operations, comprising:
• capturing, with the plurality of sensors, sensor data;
• autonomously navigating to a payload;
• autonomously coupling with the payload;
• autonomously towing or carrying the payload to a destination comprising:
• recognizing, with the one or more processors, at least a street sign, a pot hole, and a speed bump based on at least some of the sensor data;
• and
• responding, with the versatile robotic towing chassis, to the at least street sign, pot hole, and speed bump;
• wherein:
• the versatile robotic towing chassis is customizable in order to couple with a variety of payload types;
• and
• autonomously coupling with the payload comprises:
• utilizing a combination of one or more arms and lifting components, and morphing into a compatible form or arrangement by autonomously executing appropriate software components that enable different robotic functions and forms required for coupling with each type of payload.
