Accessory for sidewall sprinkler head

A tool for demounting a protective cap from a sidewall sprinkler head, the tool being configured

• to demount the protective cap from the sidewall sprinkler head installed at a side wall,
• the protective cap is configured to be mounted on and demounted from the sidewall sprinkler head equipped with a deflector,
• the protective cap is a tubular member configured to accommodate the sidewall sprinkler head therein,
• the tubular member includes an engagement portion and an alignment indicator,
• the engagement portion is configured to engage the sidewall sprinkler head so as to turn together with the sidewall sprinkler head,
• the alignment indicator is configured to indicate a positional state of the deflector,
• the alignment indicator includes a second alignment indicator,
• the second alignment indicator is a vertical groove formed at an outer surface of the tubular member,
• the vertical groove is a groove that is formed at an outer peripheral surface of the protective cap so as to extend in a direction normal to a horizontally positioned first flat surface of the sidewall sprinkler head,
• the tool includes a cap engagement portion and a cap receiver portion,
• the cap engagement portion has a projection configured to engage the vertical groove of the protective cap,
• the cap receiver portion is formed as a groove configured to hold the outer peripheral surface of the protective cap, and
• the tool is configured to demount the protective cap from the sidewall sprinkler head by pulling the tool away from the side wall with the cap engagement portion engaging the vertical groove.
