Stent with immediately removeable coating

An implantable medical device, coated with a releasable substance or substance mixture, for arteriosclerosis-conditioned vascular stenosis, comprising

• a main body with a substance and/or a substance mixture applied to a surface of the main body, and
• wherein the dose of the substance or of the substance mixture is >10 μg/mm2 with respect to the coated surface area,
• wherein the implantable medical device allows at least 60% of the releasable substance or substance mixture originally disposed on the surface of the main body to be delivered into a surrounding tissue within no more than 20 minutes after the implantable medical device is implanted within a human body, and
• wherein the implantable medical device is not a balloon catheter.
