Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a reader device may select one or more dedicated slots for communications with ambient devices. The reader device may transmit a helper tone signal and a data tone signal in slots that are among the one or more dedicated slots. Numerous other aspects are described.
Claims28
A reader device for wireless communication, comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:
- select one or more dedicated slots for communications with ambient devices;
- and
- transmit a helper tone signal and a data tone signal in slots that are among the one or more dedicated slots.
An ambient device for wireless communication, comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:
- receive an indication of one or more dedicated slots that are slots dedicated for communications with ambient devices;
- and
- receive a helper tone signal and a data tone signal in slots that are among the one or more dedicated slots.
A method of wireless communication performed by a reader device, comprising:
- selecting one or more dedicated slots for communications with ambient devices;
- and
- transmitting a helper tone signal and a data tone signal in slots that are among the one or more dedicated slots.
A method of wireless communication performed by an ambient device, comprising:
- receiving an indication of one or more dedicated slots that are slots dedicated for communications with ambient devices;
- and
- receiving a helper tone signal and a data tone signal in slots that are among the one or more dedicated slots.
