Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and devices for utilizing an application to alert a user to detected changes to inventory data. Example embodiments relate to a predictive model and development of a predictive model using machine learning techniques. Example embodiments of systems and methods may utilize web-based applications and plug-ins, extensions, or add-ons thereof for facilitating communication and presenting dynamic information to a user.
Claims17
A system comprising:
- a user device, displaying a user interface, wherein the user interface receives input activity via an input device operably connected to the user device;
- a data storage server containing vehicle inventory data;
- and
- an application communicatively connected to the user interface and the data storage server,
- wherein the application is configured to:
- receive, using an activity plugin, the input activity from the user interface, wherein the input activity comprises, at least in part, vehicle selection terms;
- apply a predictive model to the input activity to determine suggested vehicle selection terms;
- modify vehicle selection criteria based on the suggested vehicle selection terms and the vehicle inventory data received from the data storage server;
- monitor, using an inventory plugin, the vehicle inventory data stored by the data storage server for changes associated with the modified vehicle selection criteria;
- determine, using the inventory plugin, a change to the vehicle inventory data which is associated with the modified vehicle selection criteria;
- in response to determining the change, transmit an alert to the user device via the user interface;
- and
- generate an icon indicating one of:
- a push notification, a drop-down menu, or a pop-up display overlaying the user interface displayed on the user device, in response to the alert,
- wherein the application is configured to operate in a background until the determination of the change to the vehicle inventory data by the inventory plugin.

A method comprising:
- receiving, by an application, vehicle selection criteria via a user interface, wherein the user interface is displayed on a user device;
- receiving, by the application, vehicle inventory data from a database, wherein the vehicle inventory data comprises information associated with a vehicle;
- applying, by the application, a predictive model to the vehicle selection criteria and vehicle inventory data to develop suggested vehicle selection criteria;
- displaying information, on the user device, associated with at least one vehicle based on the suggested vehicle selection criteria;
- modifying, by the application, vehicle selection criteria based on the suggested vehicle selection criteria and the vehicle inventory data received from the database;
- monitor, using an inventory plugin, the vehicle inventory data stored by the database for changes associated with the modified vehicle selection criteria;
- alerting a user to changes in the vehicle inventory data associated with the modified vehicle selection criteria by transmitting an alert to the user device;
- and
- generating, by the application, an icon indicating one of:
- a push notification, a drop-down menu, or a pop-up display overlaying the user interface displayed on the user device, in response to the alerting,
- wherein the application is configured to operate in a background until a determination of the change to the vehicle inventory data by the inventory plugin.
