Abstract
An example method of video processing includes performing a conversion between a video including a video picture including one or more video units and a bitstream representation of the video. The bitstream representation conforms to a format rule that specifies that a first syntax element is included in a header of the video picture indicating allowed prediction types of at least some of the one or more video units in the video picture.
Claims18
A method of processing video data, comprising:
- determining, for a conversion between a video comprising a video picture comprising one or more video units and a bitstream of the video, a prediction type of at least one of the one or more video units in the video picture based on one or more syntax elements;
- and
- performing the conversion based on the determination,
- wherein the one or more syntax elements are included in a picture header in the bitstream,
- wherein the bitstream conforms to a format rule which specifies that applicability of a decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool and a bi-directional optical flow coding tool for the video picture are indicated separately in the bitstream,
- wherein a syntax element specifying whether the decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool is disabled is conditionally included in the picture header based on a syntax element which is conditionally included in a sequence parameter set based on at least one of a first two syntax elements,
- wherein the first two syntax elements specifying whether the decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool is enabled and whether the bi-directional optical flow coding tool is enabled respectively are included in the sequence parameter set in the bitstream, and
- wherein a syntax element specifying whether a prediction refinement with optical flow coding tool is disabled is conditionally included in the picture header in the bitstream based on an affine prediction refinement with optical flow enabling flag included in the sequence parameter set in the bitstream.
An apparatus for processing video data, comprising:
- a memory containing instructions;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the memory, the one or more processors configured to execute the instructions stored in the memory to cause the apparatus to:
- determine, for a conversion between a video comprising a video picture comprising one or more video units and a bitstream of the video, a prediction type of at least one of the one or more video units in the video picture based on one or more syntax elements;
- and
- perform the conversion based on the determination,
- wherein the one or more syntax elements are included in a picture header in the bitstream,
- wherein the bitstream conforms to a format rule which specifies that applicability of a decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool and a bi-directional optical flow coding tool for the video picture are indicated separately in the bitstream,
- wherein a syntax element specifying whether the decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool is disabled is conditionally included in the picture header based on a syntax element which is conditionally included in a sequence parameter set based on at least one of a first two syntax elements,
- wherein the first two syntax elements specifying whether the decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool is enabled and whether the bi-directional optical flow coding tool is enabled respectively are included in the sequence parameter set in the bitstream, and
- wherein a syntax element specifying whether a prediction refinement with optical flow coding tool is disabled is conditionally included in the picture header in the bitstream based on an affine prediction refinement with optical flow enabling flag included in the sequence parameter set in the bitstream.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that cause a processor to:
- determine, for a conversion between a video comprising a video picture comprising one or more video units and a bitstream of the video, a prediction type of at least one of the one or more video units in the video picture based on one or more syntax elements;
- and
- perform the conversion based on the determination,
- wherein the one or more syntax elements are included in a picture header in the bitstream,
- wherein the bitstream conforms to a format rule which specifies that applicability of a decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool and a bi-directional optical flow coding tool for the video picture are indicated separately in the bitstream,
- wherein a syntax element specifying whether the decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool is disabled is conditionally included in the picture header based on a syntax element which is conditionally included in a sequence parameter set based on at least one of a first two syntax elements,
- wherein the first two syntax elements specifying whether the decoder-side motion vector refinement coding tool is enabled and whether the bi-directional optical flow coding tool is enabled respectively are included in the sequence parameter set in the bitstream, and
- wherein a syntax element specifying whether a prediction refinement with optical flow coding tool is disabled is conditionally included in the picture header in the bitstream based on an affine prediction refinement with optical flow enabling flag included in the sequence parameter set in the bitstream.
A method for storing a bitstream of a video, comprising:
- determining, for the video comprising a video picture comprising one or more video units, a prediction type of at least one of the one or more video units in the video picture based on one or more syntax elements;
- generating the bitstream of the video based on the determination;
