Abstract
A method of processing video data. The method includes applying different super resolution (SR) processes to different sub-regions of a video unit, and performing a conversion between a video including the different regions of the video unit and a bitstream of the video based on the different SR processes as applied. A corresponding video coding apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium are also disclosed.
Claims20
A method of processing video data, comprising:
- applying, during a conversion between a video comprising a video region that comprises a first sub-region and a second sub-region and a bitstream of the video, different super resolution (SR) processes to the first and second sub-regions, wherein the first sub-region and the second sub-region are different from each other;
- and
- performing the conversion based on the different SR processes as applied,
- wherein different candidate sets of neural network (NN)-based SR models are used for different color components.
An apparatus for processing media data comprising a processor and a non-transitory memory with instructions thereon, wherein the instructions upon execution by the processor, cause the processor to:
- apply, during a conversion between a video comprising a video region that comprises a first sub-region and a second sub-region and a bitstream of the video, different super resolution (SR) processes to the first and second sub-regions, wherein the first sub-region and the second sub-region are different from each other;
- and
- perform the conversion based on the different SR processes as applied, wherein different candidate sets of neural network (NN)-based SR models are used for different color components.
A method for storing a bitstream of a video comprising:
- applying, for a video comprising a video region that comprises a first sub-region and a second sub-region and a bitstream of the video, different super resolution (SR) processes to the first and second sub-regions, wherein the first sub-region and the second sub-region are different from each other;
- generating the bitstream based on the different SR processes as applied;
- and
- storing the bitstream in a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium,
- wherein different candidate sets of neural network (NN)-based SR models are used for different color components.
