Abstract
A separator including a separator substrate including a porous material and an inorganic layer on at least one surface of the separator substrate. Each of the separator substrate and the inorganic layer has porosity related to permeability of the separator: (10×porosity of separator substrate)−(4×porosity of inorganic layer)≤permeability of separator.
Claims8
A separator comprising:
- a separator substrate comprising a porous material;
- and
- an inorganic layer on at least one surface of the separator substrate,
- wherein each of the separator substrate and the inorganic layer has a porosity satisfying the following relationship:
- (10×porosity of separator substrate)−(4×porosity of inorganic layer)≤permeability of separator,
- wherein the porosity of the inorganic layer is 55% or more, and
- wherein the inorganic layer comprises inorganic material particles comprising Al2O3, boehmite, or alumina trihydrate (ATH).
