Nuclear fuel assembly with a reinforcement device

A nuclear fuel assembly comprising:

• nuclear fuel rods extending along a longitudinal axis;
• a support skeleton configured to bear the nuclear fuel rods, the support skeleton comprising:
• two end pieces spaced apart along the longitudinal axis;
• a plurality of guide tubes extending along the longitudinal axis and connecting the two end pieces to each other;
• spacer grids distributed between the two end pieces and attached onto the guide tubes, each spacer grid supporting the nuclear fuel rods;
• and
• a reinforcement device, the reinforcement device comprising a first reinforcement plate and a second reinforcement plate extending parallel to the first reinforcement plate, the first reinforcement plate and the second reinforcement plate each being in contact with at least two of the guide tubes, the first reinforcement plate being attached to one or more of the at least two guide tubes at attachment points, the attachment points including a first attachment point and a second attachment point that are offset relative to each other along the longitudinal axis, the first attachment point and the second attachment point being attached to a first guide tube of the at least two guide tubes and being spaced apart along the first guide tube along the longitudinal axis,
• the first reinforcement plate includes a first branch and a second branch that are vertically spaced apart from one another along the longitudinal axis, the first branch being in contact with the first guide tube at the first attachment point, the second branch being in contact with the first guide tube at the second attachment point,
• the first and second branches are connected to each other by a first connector link extending vertically from the first branch to the second branch,
• the first connector link comprises a flat plate extending vertically from the first branch to the second branch.
