Abstract
Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to perform and facilitate flight system compliance analysis. In at least one embodiment, one or more processors and/or computing systems compute one or more metrics to model and analyze performance of one or more aircraft systems with respect to one or more safety requirements.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving a first set of data generated based, at least in part, on relationships between dynamic aircraft variables;
- generating a second set of data based, at least in part, on information simulated by one or more sensor models;
- generating a third set of data by applying one or more avoidance algorithms to the first and second sets of data;
- generating a fourth set of data by simulating a remote pilot response based, at least in part, on the third set of data;
- computing, based, at least in part, on the fourth set of data, two or more metrics that are to indicate, if less than or equal to respective threshold values, varying degrees of compliance of an aircraft system, corresponding to the dynamic aircraft variables, with one or more collision avoidance rules, wherein the two or more metrics comprise a risk ratio representing a ratio of a conditional probability of an event occurring with mitigation to a conditional probability of the event occurring without mitigation;
- and
- in response to the two or more metrics being greater than the respective threshold values, transmitting instructions that are to cause the aircraft system to perform detect and avoid (DAA).

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium having stored thereon a set of instructions which, if performed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to at least:
- compute two or more metrics that are to indicate, if less than or equal to respective threshold values, varying degrees of compliance of an aircraft's detect-and-avoid (DAA) system with one or more collision avoidance rules based, at least in part, on sensor data simulated by one or more aircraft sensor models in response to intruder tracks generated based, at least in part, on encounter models using relationships between dynamic aircraft variables, the dynamic aircraft variables at least corresponding to the aircraft, wherein the two or more metrics comprise a risk ratio representing a ratio of a conditional probability of an event occurring with mitigation to a conditional probability of the event occurring without mitigation;
- and
- in response to the two or more metrics being greater than the respective threshold values, transmit instructions that are to cause the aircraft to use the DAA system to perform DAA.
A system, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory that stores computer-executable instructions that are executable to cause the one or more processors to:
- receive first data indicating trajectory information;
- receive second data indicating encounter information from relationships between dynamic aircraft variables;
- generate third data based, at least in part, on data simulated by one or more aircraft models;
- generate fourth data based, at least in part, on data simulated by one or more sensor models;
- calculate two or more metrics that are to indicate, if less than or equal to respective threshold values, compliance of an aircraft system, corresponding to the dynamic aircraft variables, with one or more detect-and-avoid (DAA) safety requirements based, at least in part, on the first data, the second data, the third data, and the fourth data, wherein the two or more metrics comprise a risk ratio representing a ratio of a conditional probability of an event occurring with mitigation to a conditional probability of the event occurring without mitigation;
- and
- in response to the two or more metrics being greater than the respective threshold values, transmit instructions that are to cause the aircraft system to perform DAA.
