Light emitting diodes and diode arrays for smart ring visual output

A method of displaying information via a smart ring comprising:

• by a processor disposed within a ring band of the smart ring:
• receiving an identification of a user of the smart ring;
• receiving data from one or more of:
• a communication module within the ring band, or
• a sensor within the ring band;
• and
• presenting the information via a display (a.1) disposed at least partially in, (a.2) disposed at least partially on, or (a.3) coupled to the ring band and (b) communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein:
• the ring band is configured to be worn on a finger of the user;
• and
• the processor is configured to:
• activate the display in a pattern indicative of the identification of the user to provide permissions to the user.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computing instructions that, when executed on one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• by a processor of the one or more processors disposed within a ring band of a smart ring:
• receiving an identification of a user of the smart ring;
• receiving data from one or more of:
• a communication module within the ring band, or
• a sensor within the ring band;
• and
• presenting information via a display (a.1) disposed at least partially in, (a.2) disposed at least partially on, or (a.3) coupled to the ring band and (b) communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein:
• the ring band is configured to be worn on a finger of the user;
• and
• the processor is configured to:
• activate the display in a pattern indicative of the identification of the user to provide permissions to the user.
