Abstract
A system may receive application data in a client-incompatible format and convert at least a portion of the application data into an alternate client-compatible format. In one example, the incompatible format may comprise Enhanced Binary Interchange Format (EBIF) while a client-compatible format may include a web format such as JavaScript, XML or HTML. Interactions (e.g., commands and user input) associated with the application may be received and converted. The interactions may then be processed using the application.
Claims27
A system comprising:
- a first computing device;
- and
- a second computing device,
- wherein the first computing device is configured to:
- receive, from the second computing device, first data in a first format, wherein the first data is associated with an interactive application;
- determine, based on the first data, second data in a second format;
- generate, based on the second data, an interface;
- select, from a plurality of functions of the interactive application and based on a location of user input within the interface, a function of the interactive application;
- and
- send third data, in the first format, and
- wherein the second computing device is configured to:
- send the first data;
- receive the third data;
- and
- cause, based on the third data, the selected function of the interactive application to be executed.
A system comprising:
- a first computing device;
- and
- a second computing device,
- wherein the first computing device is configured to:
- receive first data in a first format, wherein the first data is associated with an interactive application;
- determine, based on the first data, second data in a second format and associated with an interface, wherein the interface is associated with the interactive application;
- send the second data;
- receive, from the second computing device, third data that is in the second format and that is associated with user input;
- convert the third data from the second format to the first format;
- and
- execute a function of the interactive application using the converted third data in the first format, and
- wherein the second computing device is configured to:
- receive the second data;
- and
- send the third data.
A system comprising:
- a first computing device;
- and
- a second computing device,
- wherein the first computing device is configured to:
- receive data in a first format and associated with an interactive application, wherein the first computing device is compatible with the first format;
- generate, in a second format different from the first format, a user interface corresponding to an output of the interactive application;
- send the user interface;
- receive, from the second computing device, user input compatible with the second format and associated with the interactive application;
- convert the user input compatible with the second format into a converted user input in the first format;
- determine, based on a type of the user input, a function in the first format;
- provide the converted user input to the interactive application;
- and
- cause execution of the function in the first format, and
- wherein the second computing device is configured to:
- receive the user interface;
- and
- send the user input compatible with the second format.
A system comprising:
- a first computing device compatible with a first format;
- and
- a second computing device compatible with a second format different from the first format,
- wherein the first computing device is configured to:
- receive, from the second computing device and in the second format, user input corresponding to an interactive application;
- convert the user input into the first format;
- determine, based on a type of the user input, one or more actions to be executed, the one or more actions comprising a function in the first format;
- and
- cause the interactive application to be executed based on the converted user input, by at least causing the interactive application to invoke the function in the first format, and
- wherein the second computing device is configured to send the user input in the second format.
