Abstract
A write operation initiated by a memory sub-system controller of a memory sub-system to write system metadata to one or more of a plurality of dies of the a memory sub-system is identified by a processing device. A redundancy die of a plurality of dies of the memory sub-system is identified. One or more first physical blocks of the redundancy die is identified. A first write operation to write the system metadata to the one or more first physical blocks is performed.
Claims14
A method comprising:
- identifying, by a processing device, a write operation initiated by a memory sub-system controller of a memory sub-system to write system metadata to one or more of a plurality of dies of the memory sub-system, wherein the system metadata comprises a series of event data collectively identified as log data;
- identifying a redundancy die of the plurality of dies of the memory sub-system used other A to store redundancy metadata associated with host data, wherein one or more other dies of the plurality of dies of the memory sub-system are designated to store host data;
- identifying one or more first physical blocks of the redundancy die;
- and
- performing the write operation by the memory sub-system controller to write the system metadata to the one or more first physical blocks of the redundancy die.
A system comprising:
- one or more memory devices;
- and
- a processing device, coupled to the one or more memory devices, to perform operations comprising:
- identifying, by a processing device, a write operation initiated by a memory sub-system controller of a memory sub-system to write system metadata to one or more of a plurality of dies of the memory sub-system, wherein the system metadata comprises a series of event data collectively identified as log data;
- identifying a redundancy die of the plurality of dies of the memory sub-system used to store redundancy metadata associated with host data, wherein one or more other dies of the plurality of dies of the memory sub-system are designated to store host data;
- identifying one or more first physical blocks of the redundancy die;
- and
- performing the write operation by the memory sub-system controller to write the system metadata to the one or more first physical blocks of the redundancy die.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by a processing device, cause the processing device to perform operations comprising:
- identifying, by a processing device, a write operation initiated by a memory sub-system controller of a memory sub-system to write system metadata to one or more of a plurality of dies of the memory sub-system, wherein the system metadata comprises a series of event data collectively identified as log data;
- identifying a redundancy die of the plurality of dies of the memory sub-system used to store redundancy metadata associated with host data, wherein one or more other dies of the plurality of dies of the memory sub-system are designated to store host data;
- identifying one or more first physical blocks of the redundancy die;
- and
- performing the write operation by the memory sub-system controller to write the system metadata to the one or more first physical blocks of the redundancy die.
