A system for optimization knowledge transfer between automated buildings, comprising:

• an artificial neural network (ANN) operably connected to an intelligent optimization agent of a transfer building, wherein the ANN is configured to store optimization knowledge of the intelligent optimization agent of the transfer building,
• wherein the optimization knowledge is transferable over a communication network or storable on a portable storage medium via the ANN;
• wherein the transfer building comprises sensor data stored within the ANN;
• wherein a target building intelligent optimization agent is configured to leverage the stored sensor data and select an action from an action set;
• wherein the action set comprises a plurality of set point events for a target building automated system;
• wherein the optimization knowledge received from the transfer building comprises a plurality of inputs associated with a transfer building automated system;
• wherein the target building intelligent optimization agent is configured to perform a target building energy optimization method, the method comprising:
• receiving the sensor data from the transfer building;
• processing the sensor data via multiple segments;
• predicting the action for the target building automated system from the action set;
• transferring the action to the target building automation system.
