Abstract
Disclosed is a compound having a chemical structure (Xf− is a counter anion selected from the group consisting of Cl−, NO3−, Br−, I−, CH3SO3− and OH−) of the following general formula (I). By using this compound as a polymerization initiator, the amount of the aggregation formed in emulsion polymerization can be reduced.

A compound having a chemical structure of the general formula (I):
- wherein
- Y represents a single bond,
- Z represents a single bond,
- R71, R72, R73, R74, R81, R82, R83 and R84 are methyl groups, and R75, R76, R77 and R78 are hydrogen atoms, and
- Xf− is Cl−.
