Abstract
A benzofuran-based N-acylhydrazone derivative according to the present invention has an excellent anticancer effect while having low toxicity and excellent solubility, and thus a pharmaceutical composition comprising the derivative can be usefully used to prevent or treat a cell proliferative disorder including various cancers.

A compound of Formula 1:
- wherein,
- R1 is H, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkoxycarbonylC1-3alkyl, or C1-6alkoxyC1-3alkyl;
- R2 is halogen;
- R3 is H, halogen, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkoxy, or haloC1-6alkoxy;
- and
- R4 and R5 are each independently H, halogen, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkoxy, or C1-6alkylcarbonylamino, provided that R4 and R5 are not H at the same time, or a stereoisomer or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

A method for treating a cell proliferative disease, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a compound of Formula 1:
- wherein,
- R1 is H, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkoxycarbonylC1-3alkyl, or C1-6alkoxyC1-3alkyl;
- R2 is halogen;
- R3 is H, halogen, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkoxy, or haloC1-6alkoxy;
- and
