Abstract
A motion manager for a vehicle includes one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to: receive acceleration request values from a plurality of applications and driver assistance levels associated with the respective acceleration request values; select the highest driver assistance level of the driver assistance levels received; select the smallest acceleration request value of the acceleration request values associated with the selected driver assistance level; output a specified value according to the selected acceleration request value to an actuator of the vehicle; and stop the output of the specified value under a condition according to the selected driver assistance level.
Claims6
A motion manager for a vehicle, the motion manager comprising one or more processors configured to:
- receive, from each of a plurality of applications, acceleration request values and an associated driver assistance level;
- select, from among the received driver assistance levels, a selected highest driver assistance level;
- identify a subset of the received acceleration request values that are provided by the applications having the selected driver assistance level;
- select, from the subset of the received acceleration request values, a smallest acceleration request value;
- output a specified value for an actuator of the vehicle based on the selected smallest acceleration request value;
- and
- stop the output of the specified value under a condition according to the selected highest driver assistance level.
A control method for a vehicle, the control method being executed by one or more processors in a computer installed in the vehicle, the control method comprising:
- receiving, from each of a plurality of applications, acceleration request values and an associated driver assistance level;
- selecting, from among the received driver assistance levels, a selected highest driver assistance level;
- identifying a subset of the received acceleration request values that are provided by the applications having the selected driver assistance level;
- selecting, from the subset of the received acceleration request values, a smallest acceleration request value;
- outputting a specified value for an actuator of the vehicle based on the selected smallest acceleration request value;
- and
- stopping the output of the specified value under a condition according to the selected highest driver assistance level.
A non-transitory storage medium storing instructions that are executable by one or more processors in a computer installed in a vehicle and that cause the one or more processors to perform the following functions comprising:
- receiving, from each of a plurality of applications, acceleration request values and an associated driver assistance level;
- selecting, from among the received driver assistance levels, a selected highest driver assistance level;
- identifying a subset of the received acceleration request values that are provided by the applications having the selected driver assistance level;
- selecting, from the subset of the received acceleration request values, a smallest acceleration request value;
- outputting a specified value for an actuator of the vehicle based on the selected smallest acceleration request value;
- and
- stopping the output of the specified value under a condition according to the selected highest driver assistance level.
