Abstract
Apparatus and methods are provided for use with a smoking device that includes at least first and second electrodes. An elongate capsule has a length of between 15 mm and 150 mm. The elongate capsule includes a smoking material containing one or more active agents, and metallic foil surrounding the smoking material. The metallic foil is configured to be heated via resistive heating by the first electrode driving a current to the second electrode along a length of more than 5 mm in an axial direction along the metallic foil. Other applications are also described.
Claims19
An apparatus for use with a smoking device that includes at least first and second electrodes, the apparatus comprising:
- an elongate capsule having a length of between 15 mm and 150 mm, the elongate capsule comprising:
- a smoking material containing one or more active agents;
- metallic foil surrounding the smoking material, the metallic foil being configured to be heated via resistive heating;
- and
- a paper covering surrounding the metallic foil, wherein at locations of the capsule configured to contact the electrodes, the metallic foil is not covered with paper such that the metallic foil is exposed to the electrodes,
- wherein the locations of the capsule configured to contact the electrodes are spaced apart along a length of more than 5 mm in an axial direction along the metallic foil.
