Abstract
A VR system comprises a tracking pad, a walker, a rail.
Claims12
An apparatus for a virtual reality (VR) system, comprising:
- a tracking pad comprising at least a first conductive print layer, a resistance material layer on the first conductive print layer, and a second conductive print layer on the resistance material layer;
- a rail formed to surround at least a portion of the tracking pad, wherein the rail is formed with a groove;
- a hub station configured to receive sensing signals from the tracking pad when a user performs one or more steps on the tracking pad;
- a walker with one or more wheels, the one or more wheels coupled to fit in the curved groove of the rail, such that the user can rotate the walker, and wherein the walker includes one or more handles for the user to grip.

An apparatus for a virtual reality (VR) system, comprising:
- a tracking pad comprising at least a first conductive print layer, a resistance material layer on the first conductive print layer, and a second conductive print layer on the a resistance material layer;
- a rail formed to surround at least a portion of the tracking pad, wherein the rail is formed with a groove;
- a walker with one or more wheels, the one or more wheels coupled to fit in the curved groove of the rail, such that the user can rotate the walker, and wherein the walker includes one or more handles for the user to grip;
- and
- a control station, the control station including one or more inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors for detecting rotation of the walker, wherein the control station is configured to receive rotation signals from the one or more IMU sensors when the user rotates the walker around the rail.
