Abstract
A user-wearable examination/visualization/collection system with light enhancement comprising a carrier suitable for the retention of a lighting assembly and a viewing and collection system is presented wherein images or video of objects may be collected under natural (i.e., white) light and/or colored light (e.g., IR) conditions, processed and presented to a user on a local display. Further disclosed are lighting assemblies that provide for the light necessary to collect images different lighting conditions and optical filtering that allows for a limitation of the light viewable and collected.

- capture an image of said object, said image capture assembly comprising:
- a second eye-lens;
- and
- an image capture device, said second eye-lens and said image capture device forming a second optical axis, wherein said image of said object viewed through said second eye-lens is projected onto said image capture device;
- a beam splitter positioned, within the first magnification device, between said objective lens and said eye-lens, said beam splitter configured to:
- transmit a first portion of light associated with said object entering said objective lens through the beam splitter along said first optical axis to said eye-lens, wherein a first magnified image of the object is viewable by a user;
- and
- reflect a remainder of the light associated with the object entering the objective lens, along said second axis to said second eye-lens, wherein a second magnified image of the object is presented to the image capture device, the first magnified image and the second magnified image being separately generated;
- and
- a display system comprising:
- a display screen configured to:
- display information, wherein said display information comprises at least one of:
- said captured image of said object and biometric data;
- and
- a collimating lens, wherein said display screen is positioned at a focal length of said collimating lens;
- and
- an electronic assembly, in electrical communication with said image capture system and said display system, said electronic assembly configured to:
- provide at least one of:
- power and said information to said image capture system and said display system.
An examination/visualization system comprising:
- an eyewear comprising:
- a plurality of lenses;
- a viewing/collecting system associated with each of said plurality of lenses, said viewing/collecting system comprising:
- a magnification device configured to:
- provide a first enlarged image of an object;
- a beam splitter positioned within the magnification device, the beam splitter configured to:
- pass a first portion of the light associated with the image of the object through the beam splitter;
- and
- a reflect a remainer of the light associated with the image of the object along a second axis;
- a second eye-lens positioned along the second axis, the second eye-lens configured to
- provide a second enlarged image of the object;
- an image capture device, said image capture device configured to capture the second enlarged image of said object, wherein said object is illuminated under lighting conditions comprising light emitted within at least one wavelength band;
- and
- a display system configured to:
- present said captured images of said object to a user wherein said captured images are presented to said user in one of:
- before being viewed through a corresponding one of said plurality of lenses and after being viewed through corresponding one of said plurality of lenses;
- and
- a lighting assembly, said lighting assembly configured to:
- emit said light toward said object.
An examination/visualization system comprising:
- a lighting assembly configured to emit light in at least one wavelength band, wherein said light is emitted toward an object;
- an eyewear comprising:
- a first carrier lens;
- a second carrier lens;
- and
- a bridge element joining said first carrier lens and said second carrier lens;
- a first fully integrated visualization system retained in said first carrier lens;
- a second fully integrated visualization system retained in said second carrier lens, each of said first fully integrated visualization system and said second fully integrated visualization system comprising;
- a magnification device comprising:
- an objective lens;
