Abstract
A method for printing and applying labels is provided. The method comprises printing indicia on a first label using a printer to form a first printed label and holding said the label in a holding tray. An arm is rotated in a first direction from an original to collect the label from the holding tray. The arm is rotated in a second direction opposing the first direction to clear the holding tray. The printer has printed a second label before the arm returns to the original position to collect the second label from the holding tray.
Claims19
A method for printing and applying labels, comprising:
- printing indicia on a first label using a printer to form a first printed label;
- holding said first printed label in a holding tray;
- rotating an arm in a first direction from an original position to a first position to collect said first printed label from said holding tray;
- collecting said first printed label from said holding tray by extending a portion of the arm;
- initiating printing indicia on a second label as soon as said first label is collected by said arm;
- rotating said arm in a second direction opposing said first direction to clear said holding tray;
- moving said arm in a third direction to move said first printed label towards a substrate;
- using said arm to apply said first printed label to said substrate;
- and
- moving said arm in a fourth direction opposing said third direction while rotating said arm in said second direction;
- wherein
- said third direction and said fourth direction are vertical directions.
A method for printing and applying labels, comprising:
- covering an adhesive layer of a first label with a dissolvable liner, said dissolvable liner comprising each of a remoistenable adhesive, activated coconut carbon filtered water, and gypsum;
- printing indicia on said first label using a printer to form a first printed label;
- holding said first printed label in an angled holding tray;
- rotating an arm in a first direction from an original position to a first position;
- collecting said first printed label from said angled holding tray by extending a portion of the arm;
- initiating printing indicia on a second label as soon as said first label is collected by said arm;
- rotating said arm in a second direction opposing said first direction to clear the angled holding tray;
- moving said arm in a third direction to move said first printed label towards a substrate;
- moistening said first printed label before said label reaches said substrate;
- using said arm to apply said first printed label to said substrate;
- and
- moving said arm in a fourth direction opposing said third direction while rotating said arm in said second direction.
A method for printing and applying labels, comprising:
- printing indicia on a first label using a printer to form a first printed label;
- holding said first printed label in an angled holding tray;
- rotating a first arm in a first rotational direction from an original position to a first position;
- collecting said first printed label from said angled holding tray by extending a portion of the first arm;
- initiating printing indicia on a second label as soon as said first label is collected by said first arm;
- rotating said first arm in a second rotational direction opposing said first rotational direction;
- and
- using said first arm to apply said first printed label to a substrate;
- wherein said first arm is movable in a first vertical direction and a second vertical direction using a vertical track operably coupled to said first arm.
