Abstract
Methods for treating cancer using combination therapy with an anti-coagulant and a B-Raf inhibitor and/or a mitogen-activated protein kinase (MEK) inhibitor are disclosed. The anti-coagulant may be a direct inhibitor of thrombin or an indirect inhibitor of thrombin, such as an inhibitor of factor Xa, factor XIa, or other coagulation factors.
Claims19
A method of treating an osteopontin (OPN)-associated cancer having elevated levels of OPN cleavage fragments, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-coagulant that inhibits thrombin cleavage of OPN in combination with a therapeutically effective amount of a B-Raf inhibitor or a mitogen-activated protein kinase (MEK) inhibitor, or therapeutically effective amounts of the B-Raf inhibitor and the MEK inhibitor.
