Abstract
A method for treating skin of a person in need thereof is disclosed. The method includes topically applying to the skin of the person a composition comprising an effective amount of an aqueous, alcoholic, or aqueous-alcoholic extract from Ficus lacor, wherein the extract from Ficus lacor reduces oxidation in the skin or reduces MMP-1 activity in the skin.

A method for treating skin of a person in need thereof, the method comprising topically applying to the skin of the person a composition comprising an effective amount of an aqueous, alcoholic, or aqueous-alcoholic extract from Ficus lacor, wherein the extract from Ficus lacor reduces oxidation in the skin or reduces MMP-1 activity in the skin, wherein the skin of the person comprises a fine line or wrinkle, wherein the composition is topically applied to the fine line or wrinkle, and wherein the composition treats the fine line or wrinkle.
