## Abstract

A method of generating a content library includes receiving a generate command that indicates a design application file to generate a content library, identifying a set of primitives from the design application file, and generating a content library from the set of primitives. In some cases, the method further includes receiving an import command to import content from a file that is a same format type as the content library and in response to receiving the import command, extracting appropriate values from associated primitives in the file and importing the appropriate values to the design application file. In some cases, the method further includes receiving an export command to export content from the design application file to a different application file of a specified format type and providing the content library in the specified format type.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method comprising:
receiving a generate command to generate a content library, the generate command indicating a design application file having text elements and visual elements;
identifying a set of primitives from the design application file, the primitives comprising the text elements;
generating a content library from the set of primitives identified from the design application file;
applying namespacing to the primitives comprising the text elements including to a specific text element having a plurality of instances, wherein the content library uses the namespacing to maintain a many-to-many connection of the primitives comprising the text elements of the design application;
receiving an update to the design application file that includes a change to a particular instance of the specific text element;
checking a namespace connection of the particular instance of the specific text element; and
updating remaining instances of the plurality of instances of the specific text element.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the content library is a JSON file.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the content library is a tabular data file.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
receiving an export command to export content from the design application file to a different application file of a specified format type; and
providing the content library in the specified format type.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, wherein providing the content library comprises directly providing the generated content library.

### Claim 6 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, wherein providing the content library comprises converting the generated content library to a specified hierarchical or tabular format having key-value pairs.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The method of claim 6, wherein the specified hierarchical or tabular format having the key-value pairs is CSV, TSV, or JSON.

### Claim 8 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, further comprising validating the content library via an automated process that detects mismatches or incongruities between the design application file and the content library based on key-value pairs.

### Claim 9

One or more computer-readable storage media having instructions stored thereon that when executed by a computing device, direct the computing device to at least:
receive a generate command to generate a content library, the generate command indicating a design application file having text elements and visual elements;
identify a set of primitives from the design application file, the primitives comprising text elements;
generate a content library from the set of primitives identified from the design application file;
apply namespacing to the primitives comprising the text elements including to a specific text element having a plurality of instances, wherein the content library uses the namespacing to maintain a many-to-many connection between the primitives comprising the text elements of the design application;
receive an update to the design application file that includes a change to a particular instance of the specific text element;
check a namespace connection of the particular instance of the specific text element; and
update remaining instances of the plurality of instances of the specific text element.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The media of claim 9, further comprising instructions that direct the computing device to validate the content library via an automated process that detects mismatches or incongruities between the design application file and the content library based on key-value pairs.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The media of claim 9, further comprising instructions that direct the computing device to:
receive an export command to export content from the design application file to a different application file of a specified format type; and
provide the content library in the specified format type.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The media of claim 11, wherein the instructions that direct the computing device to provide the content library comprise instructions to directly provide the content library.

### Claim 13 (depends on 11)

The media of claim 11, wherein the instructions that direct the computing device to provide the content library comprise instructions to convert the generated content library to a specified hierarchal or tabular format having key-value pairs.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The media of claim 13, wherein the specified hierarchical or tabular format having the key-value pairs is CSV, TSV, or JSON.

### Claim 15 (depends on 9)

The media of claim 9, wherein the content library is a JSON file.

### Claim 16 (depends on 9)

The media of claim 9, wherein the content library is a tabular data file.

### Claim 17

A computing device, comprising:
a processor;
a storage medium; and
instructions for cross-platform content management stored on the storage medium that when executed by the processor, direct the computing device to:
receive a generate command to generate a content library, the generate command indicating a design application file having text elements and visual elements;
identify a set of primitives from the design application file, the primitives comprising text elements;
generate a content library from the set of primitives identified from the design application file;
apply namespacing to the primitives comprising the text elements including to a specific text element having a plurality of instances, wherein the content library uses the namespacing to maintain a many-to-many connection between the primitives comprising the text elements of the design application;
receive an update to the design application file that includes a change to a particular instance of the specific text element;
check a namespace connection of the particular instance of the specific text element and
update remaining instances of the plurality of instances of the specific text element.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The computing device of claim 17, further comprising instructions that direct the computing device to validate the content library via an automated process that detects mismatches or incongruities between the design application file and the content library based on key-value pairs.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)

The computing device of claim 17, further comprising instructions that direct the computing device to:
receive an export command to export content from the design application file to a different application file of a specified format type; and
