Method of making aerosol-forming substrate

A method of making an aerosol-forming substrate;

• the aerosol-forming substrate comprising an aerosol-forming material, the aerosol-forming material comprising an active substance and about 5 to about 60 wt % gelling agent;
• the method comprising electrospraying the aerosol-forming material or component or precursor thereof to form a uniform layer;
• wherein the aerosol-forming material comprises an amorphous solid comprising a fibrous organic filler material and the amorphous solid has a thickness of 0.015 mm to about 1.00 mm;
• and
• wherein the aperture in the or each nozzle of the electrospray apparatus is sized in the range of 0.1-1.0 mm.
