Abstract
A display device according to an embodiment includes: a display panel; a first pad portion disposed on a lateral side of the display panel; and an information code disposed on the lateral side of the display panel.

A display device comprising:
- a display panel configured to display images, the display panel including a first substrate and a second substrate overlapping the first substrate, wherein the second substrate includes a front side for displaying images and a lateral side facing a direction different from a direction that the front side faces, and the first substrate includes a lateral side facing a direction different from the direction that the front side faces;
- and
- an information code disposed across the lateral side of the first substrate and the lateral side of the second substrate,
- wherein the information code includes at least one of a character code or a figure code, each of which includes information about the display panel, and
- wherein the information code is an integral information code that extends from the lateral side of the first substrate to the lateral side of the second substrate.

- a display panel configured to display images, the display panel including a first substrate and a second substrate overlapping the first substrate, and signal lines disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the second substrate includes a front side for displaying images and a lateral side facing a direction different from a direction that the front side faces, and the first substrate includes a lateral side facing a direction different from the direction that the front side faces;
- a first pad disposed on at least one of the lateral side of the first substrate and the lateral side of the second substrate, and electrically connected to one of the signal lines;

- an information code disposed across the lateral side of the first substrate and the lateral side of the second substrate and protruding from the lateral side of the first substrate and the lateral side of the second substrate,
- wherein the information code includes at least one of a character code or a figure code, each of which includes information about the display panel, and
- wherein the information code is an integral information code that extends from the lateral side of the first substrate to the lateral side of the second substrate.
