Bendable display device

An electronic device comprising:

• a display device;
• a circuit board;
• and
• at least any one of an antenna, a battery, a housing, a camera, a speaker, a microphone, and an operation button,
• wherein the display device comprises a first substrate, a first inorganic insulating layer over the first substrate, a display element over the first inorganic insulating layer, a second inorganic insulating layer over the display element, a sidewall in contact with a side surface of the second inorganic insulating layer, and a second substrate over the second inorganic insulating layer,
• wherein the display device is repeatedly bendable,
• wherein the sidewall comprises one or both of an element contained in the first inorganic insulating layer and halogen,
• wherein when the display device is bent, the rate of the strain applied to the first substrate is lower than or equal to the rate of the strain at the yield point of the first substrate, and
• wherein when the display device is bent, the rate of the strain applied to the second substrate is lower than or equal to the rate of the strain at the yield point of the second substrate.
