WLAN cellular aggregation

An apparatus of a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• a processor coupled to the memory, wherein the processor is configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to cause the UE to:
• receive a first configuration message from a base station to configure a first radio bearer (RB) for communicating with the base station;
• receive a second configuration message from the base station to configure a multi-hop link between the base station, a wireless local area network (WLAN) terminal, and the UE;
• and
• transmit a first packet to or receive a first packet from the WLAN terminal, wherein the first packet includes a packet header indicating an RB identity (ID) of the first RB.

A base station, comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• a processor coupled to the memory, wherein the processor is configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to cause the base station to:
• transmit a first configuration message to a user equipment (UE) to configure a first radio bearer (RB) for communicating with the UE;
• transmit a second configuration message to the UE to configure a multi-hop link between the base station, a wireless local area network (WLAN) terminal, and the UE;
• and
• transmit a first packet to or receive the first packet from the WLAN terminal, wherein the first packet includes a UE identity (ID) of the UE and an RB ID of the first RB.
