Communication system, access point, wireless LAN terminal, communication control method, and non-transitory computer readable medium

A communication control method performed by a wireless LAN terminal and comprising:

• transmitting, to an access point, first information indicating whether or not the wireless LAN terminal is a fixed station that is fixedly installed;
• in a case where the first information indicates that the wireless LAN terminal is the fixed station, receiving, from the access point, a sub-plurality of communication rates from among a plurality of communication rates that can be set in communication with the access point, the sub-plurality of communication rates including a maximum communication rate and a minimum communication rate;
• in a case where the first information indicates that the wireless LAN terminal is not the fixed station, receiving all of the plurality of communication rates that can be set in communication with the access point;
• and
• attempting communication with the access point based on the second information about one or more communication rates received from the access point, among the plurality of communication rates.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a communication control program executable by a wireless LAN terminal to perform a communication control method comprising:

• transmitting, to an access point, first information indicating whether or not the wireless LAN terminal is a fixed station that is fixedly installed;
• in a case where the first information indicates that the wireless LAN terminal is the fixed station, receiving, from the access point, a sub-plurality of communication rates from among a plurality of communication rates that can be set in communication with the access point, the sub-plurality of communication rates including a maximum communication rate and a minimum communication rate
• in a case where the first information indicates that the wireless LAN terminal is not the fixed station, receiving, from the access point, all of the plurality of communication rates that can be set in communication with the access point;
• and
• attempting communication with the access point based on second information about one or more communication rates received from the access point, among the plurality of communication rates.
