Measurement reporting method and related device

A measurement reporting method, comprising:

• receiving, by a user equipment, second information from a first network device, wherein the second information indicates a first threshold, a second threshold, and a type of a measurement result to be reported by the user equipment, wherein the type of the measurement result comprises at least one of a cell measurement result, or a beam measurement result;
• and
• reporting, by the user equipment, in response to a measurement event being satisfied, at least one of a cell measurement result or a beam measurement result,
• wherein a first type of measurement event is at least one of the measurement result of a first beam being inferior to the first threshold, or the measurement result of a second beam being superior to that of the first beam by a first offset value, and
• whether the first type of measurement event or a second type of measurement event are triggered is determined based on the measurement result, the second type of measurement event is at least one of the measurement result of the first beam being inferior to the second threshold, or the measurement result of a third beam being superior to that of the first beam by a second offset value.

A user equipment, comprising:

• a transceiver;
• one or more processors;
• and
• at least one non-transitory computer readable memory connected to the one or more processors and including computer program code, wherein the at least one non-transitory computer readable memory and the computer program code are configured, with the one or more processors, to cause the user equipment to perform at least:
• receiving second information sent by a first network device, wherein the second information indicates a first threshold, a second threshold, and a type of a measurement result to be reported by the user equipment, wherein the type of the measurement result comprises at least one of a cell measurement result, or a beam measurement result;
• and
• reporting in response to a measurement event being satisfied, at least one of a cell measurement result or a beam measurement result,
• wherein a first type of measurement event is at least one of the measurement result of a first beam being inferior to the first threshold, or the measurement result of a second beam being superior to that of the first beam by a first offset value, and
• whether the first type of measurement event or a second type of measurement event are triggered is determined based on the measurement result, the second type of measurement event is at least one of the measurement result of the first beam being inferior to the second threshold, or the measurement result of a third beam being superior to that of the first beam by a second offset value.
